Building Great Futures
Project Phases
This exciting project will unfold in three dynamic phases, beginning in March 2025 and culminating in July 2025:
-
Phase 1: Teen members from Arizona will travel to Durango, Colorado, to collaborate with their peers from New Mexico, along with renowned motorcycle builder Danny Wilson of Motorwitch Industries and Master Technician Carter Crafton of Durango Harley-Davidson. Together, they will disassemble a 2022 Heritage Softail, generously donated by the Harley-Davidson Motor Company.
Phase 2: The disassembled bike will be transported to Motorwitch Industries in Phoenix, Arizona. There, Danny Wilson will work alongside industry partners and vendors to source parts, paint, and powder coating. During this stage, club members from both states will join virtual Zoom sessions to follow the customization process and engage in hands-on learning.
Phase 3: Teen members from New Mexico will travel to Phoenix to reunite with their Arizona counterparts at Motorwitch Industries. Under Danny’s mentorship, they will reassemble the motorcycle, conduct start-up procedures, and perform dyno tuning, bringing the project to life as a fully customized and operational Harley-Davidson.
This custom-designed Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail will be entered into a nationwide online sweepstakes, with all proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sun Corridor and the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Juan County.
Entries will be accepted through December 3, 2025, with the winner announced on December 6, 2025.
Proceeds from the sweepstakes will directly support workforce readiness programs, helping youth develop the essential skills needed for success in their future careers.
